Need serious help with the color scheme in my room!?

My room is a light blue color and not really big,but definitely not small. It's a light blue, and a lot of my stuff is too.I'm sick of it >=( It's just a really loud color and I don't like it.I'm wanting something a little bit quieter,a little darker maybe.I'm not sure.I really need help, all this blue is killing me ! The floor is a tan-ish colored tile,my desk is made of glass lol, and I have white dressers and a white headboard. My room colors are actually kind of messed up lol.For example,The floor is a tan-ish colored tile,my desk is made of glass lol, and I have white dressers and a white headboard,I have a purple/white rug on the floor,my bookshelf is green, and my couch is yellow and has leaf and flower print on it.(0.o yeah,it's a disaster !!) I have no idea how to fix my color scheme,so I really need help xD

  1. red-pink i have da same color scheme in my living room and i painted it that color and its looks amazing
  2. I would say find a color that you are comfortable with first. Make that the main color and then find some accent colors that match each other. Complementary colors or colors in the same temperature work well. Since you have alot of white, that could be an accent color. Maybe you could repaint some things, like the bookshelf, to an accent color? Maybe a deep or light purple to match the rug for the walls, the white furniture and....a new couch? Whatever suits you. :D Happy Holidays!
  3. I would say purple for the main wall and lavender for the others. Go to this site and play around with the colors. I have alot of fun here without even painting! http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/
  4. How about painting clouds over the blue and maybe some trees? you could even do a marine thing or paint some other geometrical shapes of different shades of blue, bubbles or put round mirrors up to look like bubbles, throw a quilt over the sofa and you can use acrylic paint on curtains and even windows if you seal it with acrylic spray varnish have fun Lisa x0x0x Merry Christmas
  5. Rich chocolates, olive greens, dark blues...bright colors for the POP!
