Room decorating tips? fairytale/storybook theme?
So, you might laugh, but i'm 15 and really need to update my room. its very plain and mis-matched. I really like fairy tales, and always have. I want my room to reflect this. Its a fairly small room, so not much room for much furniture. I cant get new furniture, but i currently have a wooden desk, a long wooden dresser, a white bookshelf and a black book shelf. my bed is just a single mattress on the floor. (im getting a box spring and a frame soon, possibly with a headboard and foot board, idk yet) its a square room, with three windows, and a bi-folding closet. i don't want to spend more than 200-300 dollars in total so i cant buy much, but im artistically inclined, so i can make things too. im particularly interesting in Tinkerbell, alice in wonderland, cinderella, and snow white (not necessarily disney, just in general) but alice in wonderland is my all time fave. any suggestions would be great. also, i can change the wall colour, but the trim and the doors are dark purple and id like to keep them that way. oh, and the floors are a light coloured wood.

- Just did my kids playroom and lime green looks great with dark purple. I did a tinkerbell theme and 2 walls are dark purple and 2 are lime green. We bought mix-match desks, book shelves, and a computer desk and painted them white (also the ceiling white). You can compliment the room with other colors in your decorating. And to add a little flavor of your own, think of some of your favorite sayings or motivational phrases and paint them across the room. (try cursive, it will look more fairy tale-ish), and use some silver glitter around the words to make it more magical.
- i also enjoy tinkerbell and my room is done in that and i have see through material and stapled it to the corner of the walls and then scrunched it together in the middle and the put a crystal sparkely chandeler in it which i got from target also use lots of glitter in your room it looks really pretty...you can also put fake leaves and flowers stapled on the ceiling and let them droop down well hope i helped
