If I push to twin size beds together, is it equal to a queen size or a king size bed?

I can't afford a new mattress. So I need to push two twin beds together to make a larger bed. Should I get a mattress pad and sheets for a queen size bed or a king size bed? Which would be the best fit? The twin beds are standard size.

  1. Two twin beds are equal in width to a king size bed. However, a normal king size bed would be five inches longer than two twins. You would need to use two twin extra-longs in order to be truly king-sized. King-sized sheets would fit your two twin bed arrangement best, but you may have some extra fabric lengthwise.
  2. well i have two twin mattresses and when i push them together it makes like a king size bed...maybe bigger...but it just depends on ure beds...just measure the beds when they're together and go by that...
  3. Two twins make a king bed. The box springs for a king bed are just two twin boxsprings might want to put some foam inbetween though to keep from falling through.
  4. two twims make a king short. you can use the sheet garters to take up the extra length from king sheets. they hook from one side to the end at the corner to keep the sheets on the corners of the bed. It would help if you had memory foam topper in King size to put over the beds to make them one.
  5. Pushing two twins together will give you a king size :) Don't forget to tie the feet of the beds together, just so the beds don't separate during the night. And yes, king size sheets. Queen just won't fit... lucky you :)
