How do I remove paint from my grass and flower beds around my house?

Our landlord was made by the city to paint the house, this was before we moved in. He pressure washed, I guess, cause there are paint chips all over. Then he painted, very carelessly, with a sprayer. So, it's everywhere, all over the back side of my bushes, grass and dirt in my flower beds. Thanks for any suggestions! If I wait for the landlord, I'll never get to plant this year!

  1. not much you can do but dig it under it will come off the bushes dont worry about them. and go on and plant good luck
  2. first rake as much as you can out, then turn the soil over... adding some good top soil to planting spots. Good gardening!!
  3. All you can do is work around it. Pick up large paint chip debris and turn the rest under. Add some top soil plant your hearts desire and apply a nice layer of mulch. Your grass will grow and then it will be gone in a few mowings. The bushes are fine you can prune them back a little at a time, not to much or you will kill them and then that will look worse and your landlord can charge you to replace them, keep in mind if they are well established that could be a large sum of money. Be grateful the city got on to him before you moved in, now you have a nicely painted slate to work with, with established greenery, britten it up with some annuals and count your blessings you are not the previous tenants. Save your gripping for something else that you can't fix quickly with your own personality touches, just the way you want.
