why cats like to sleep at the top of our heads in bed?

I've had like 5 cats, and all of them used to sleep at somebody else's head at the top of beds.... that's wierd ...does every cat do that?

4. i had a nap and when i woke up my cat was on my head and he was like...so cute and meow meow... i don't know! every cat does do that, all of my old cats since i was a child slept on top of my head when i was in bed...

6. most cats do. a kitty cat has a solar panel that it needs to be exposed to the heat source of the sun. when there is no sun, it uses another heat source. feel the top of your head? it's warmer than your feet, right? there is the answer. cheers and enjoy the kitty naps. Lisa
7. Mind control. While you are sleeping they are implanting instructions into your subconscious brain. Keep in mind, dogs have owners, cats have servants. My cat does this in the winter. There is warmth coming from your head as you are snuggled under the blankets. But mostly it is the mind control thing.
8. I don't let my cat in my room, or it goes under my bed and poos! But when it gets in it sleeps near my head, my head is warm.. thats what cats like..
9. That's VERY common...and probably because we lose heat from our heads....there's kitty...ready to get warm! Have had two cats who slept under the covers....but could never convince them that I needed their WARM on my FEET! Have fun!
10. My oldest cat used to do that. Your head is the warmest part of your body and they like the heat. Thus why we wear hats in the winter to keep the heat in. I used to like it, then hate it because if she layed on my hair, I couldn't move my head. If it's really cold, my daughter's cat sleeps by her head.

16. Mine do this too. I believe they like the heat. I have one on my head and one under my chin usually.
17. mine totally does that, and he's huge! i know with him he just likes to be really close to people when they sleep, he's either under your arm, laying across your chest, or on your pillow. i don't mind it, and he doesnt shed a lot, so i let it go.

19. I've got one who's done it every night of his 16 years of life...with ME as the person he's brain sucking from. My sig. other calls him my 'cat hat'. The other 4 don't do that. The head cats like the feel of their 'cat mom' I figure, like the soft pillow and sleeping curled with something warm. If you don't get a sore neck from it or he doesn't push you off the pillow to hog it all, it's fine. Not all that weird but fine.
