Does the Bed Head Straighteners Have real Ceramic plates? 10 points for most helpful answer?
I have a Bed head straightener and also an Amika(the ones from the Mall). Do either of those have real ceramic plates?. Please Answer. I am trying to figure out which one I should use more often because my hair is extremely damaged. Thanks Thanks. Im saving up for a Chi right now and does anybody know where a good place to buy a chi is?

- Bedhead I know for sure has ceramic plates. I use them in my salon. They're really a good straightener considering they aren't the "Chi," brand!
- BedHead does. Trust Me.
- they both do, most straightners have ceramic plates. I'd suggust investing in a chi, they range from 90-120$. they work the best and aren't that damaging
- I actually have a friend who manages those kiosk thingys in the mall. He was telling me that there are only a handful of straighteners out there that have real ceramic plates. The rest are just coated with a ceramic type 'paint' if you will. The Amika (what he sells) does not have real ceramic plates either. However, he says that the 'coating' is more durable with more even heat dispersion. Go with that one. Now matter what tool you use straightening your hair is HORRIBLE do a deep conditioning treatment of olive oil in your hair once a week. Also, when straightening, run a comb behind your hair after the straightener it makes it work better with less damage! Best of luck!!
- yes they do. im a hairdresser and we use them in my salon. i would suggest using the ceramic plates as they are much better for your hair and don't leave your hair as porous (dry hair) the plates help to condition your hair leaving it smooth and shine and non greasy. hope this helped
- Investing in a CHI is an oxymoron, they work alright, but just as well as many other brands. But the CHI has bad wiring, they just stop working for no reason, you cannot take them out of the country and have them work on return, and the plates can snap off, even if you take good care of it. If you are going to save up for anything save up for a GHD, or something that is worth the money. Yes the plates on a BedHead straightener are ceramic. If your hair is damaged the only thing that you need is a thermal styling spray, the iron isn't going to help you.
