How does the Bed Head BH300 Tourmaline Nano-Ceramic Dual Waver work?

ughhh i saw that stupid thing on a commercial, saved up my babysitting money, and bought the damn thing. i got home used it and it sucked! i thought you use it like a straightener but you have to open the thing put it between a PART of your hair then hold it there for 30 seconds at least! it was a total waste of money and it took foreverrrrr to do your whole head and now it sits under my sink in my bathroom getting to know the cabinet doors REALLLY well. dont get it.
