How to make two single divan beds to a double bed?

I have two very old single divan beds with worn out fabrics and I'm wondering if anyone knows how I could revamp these and make them into one double / king size bed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1. Push them together. Put an egg carton type foam pad ( king size) on top to cover the whole thing. Then buy a padded mattress cover ( king size) to hold it all together. If you can afford it place a feather bed mattress on top. Buy deep fitting sheets and make it up. I've done it and you won't believe how comfortable it is. It will be a king size. Singles are 39 inches wide, doubles 54" wide, queen 60' wide and king 78 ' wide. Enjoy.
