Are wool mattresses really better for you?

I've heard that regular mattresses have flame retardants that are bad for you, and wool ones don't. Does it really matter?

1. nope unless you smoke in bed,
2. The wool might be a blend of polyester and wool. The manufacturer can say wool or down or silk with only less than 10% of that fiber. Most matteress are f\lame retardent by law.
3. I would consult with consmer reports website, I've used them a thousand times and find them immensely helpful.
