What is the firmness like for memory foam mattresses?
I bought a full-sized serta eurotop mattress (sundown sky with pillowtop) about a year ago. I used to own a fairly firm mattress for a large portion of my life, but decided to donate it and get myself a new one. I had initially decided to go with another firm mattress, but after trying the above mentioned mattress, I thought I found myself the perfect mattress. Anyway, after a year, I find the bed much too soft and find myself "sinking" into the mattress too much. I'm heavily considering getting a new mattress and I've heard rave reviews about the memory foam and the sleep number bed. i know the sleep number bed, you can control the firmness, but how firm are the memory foam mattresses? i was told that different models vary in firmness, but it is FOAM after all. how hard can foam possibly be??? thanks!

- Temperpedic mattresses are great for sleeping but thats about it. Having sex is very difficult on them. They just absorb all motion. Sleep number beds are pricey but if you need to cary the firmness you can. It all depends on you and what your sleep needs are. Mattrees salesman will tell you anything. Talk to your doctor about what is best for your back, everyone is different. I have a crappy mattress and that is why I am awake to answer your question at 2 am.
